Introduce your child to the wonderful sounds of music with expert drum lessons from our instructor in Hyattsville, Maryland. Our drum instructor has a solid musical background that began in 1983. He is experienced, dependable, and very patient. Two Marvelous Music knows the value received from playing a musical instrument. Thus, we are committed to providing you with the best possible service to insure the success of your child in his or her school's music program and beyond.

Two Marvelous Music offers one-on-one drum lessons for children (starting at age 5) and adults.  Our drum instructor has a solid musical background that began in 1983.  He is experienced, dependable, and very patient.

Students have 1 thirty minute lesson each week.  During each lesson the student learns various drills and techniques on different percussion instruments.  They also learn to play by ear, by sight, or both depending on the needs or interests of the student/parent.

Some of the Techniques and Skills the Students Learn Include:

1. The 40 International Drum Rudiments
2. How to Read Snare Drum and Bass Drum Music
3. How to Play the Drum Set by Ear and by Sight
4. Various Drum Set Styles
5. Note and Rest Values
6. The Importance or Dynamics, Tempo and Endurance
7. How to Play Congas and/or Bongos 

Ideally, students should practice for 15 minutes or more everyday.  Since that is typically impractical, practicing up to 3 or 4 day per week for 15 minutes plus is reasonable.
